Where anxiety actually lives
Chronic anxiety is sympathetic-nervous-system dominance — the fight-or-flight branch running too long, too often, with no parasympathetic recovery in between. The vagus nerve is the body's primary parasympathetic switch. When the vagus is well-toned, you recover quickly from stress. When it is under-toned, every minor stressor produces a disproportionate cascade. Vagal tone is trainable.
