Is sound healing safe during pregnancy?
Sound healing is generally safe during pregnancy when applied properly. Research indicates that appropriate sound frequencies can support relaxation and fetal bonding. Key safety considerations include keeping decibel levels safe (below 85dB), avoiding direct abdominal contact with vibrating instruments, and consulting with your healthcare provider. For high-risk pregnancies, medical clearance is required before any session.

Sound therapy shows evidence-based support for sleep difficulties. Mechanisms include brainwave entrainment that promotes delta-wave activity, parasympathetic nervous system activation, and pink-noise research demonstrating sleep-quality improvements. Binaural beats and vibroacoustic stimulation create personalized sequences that address individual sleep patterns. Regular practice supports healthy sleep-wake cycles.

Yes. Caution is required for: deep vein thrombosis or active blood clots, electronic implants such as pacemakers, metallic implants in sensitive areas, open wounds, severe epilepsy, advanced pregnancy complications, or acute mental-health crises. Hearing sensitivity or inner-ear conditions warrant a specialist consultation first. A short pre-session intake covers these so we adapt — or recommend medical clearance — before booking.

Yes — measurable effects of sound therapy on human physiology are documented in peer-reviewed research. Studies show brainwave shifts (increased alpha and theta), cortisol reduction indicating stress relief, and mood and anxiety improvements comparable to meditation. Cellular resonance principles align with established acoustic physics. Sound healing complements — but does not replace — medical care.

Sound therapy offers evidence-based support for tinnitus management through neural plasticity. Notched sound therapy — targeted frequency filtering of the tinnitus pitch — has moderate research support. Tonotopic map reorganization and lateral inhibition mechanisms appear to be involved. Responses vary individually. Consistency and personalized frequency selection are key.

Through autonomic nervous-system regulation. Specific frequencies and protocols (including the Safe and Sound Protocol) signal safety to the nervous system, promoting parasympathetic activation. Binaural beats encourage alpha and theta brainwave states associated with calm. Effects accumulate with consistent practice — single sessions soothe, regular sessions retrain the baseline response.

First sessions begin with a short personal intake — sleep quality, stress signature, anything you want to soften. You then settle into a supported lying position with cushions, blankets, and dimmed light. Most people experience deep relaxation within minutes as parasympathetic activation begins. Sensations vary: some feel vibrations through the body, others sense emotional release or subtle energy shifts. Larissa adapts the sequence to your live response.

Sound therapy can support migraine prevention and management through autonomic regulation, reducing the neural hyperexcitability that often triggers migraines. Stress and anxiety reduction — common migraine drivers — are also addressed. Sound-based interventions complement medical approaches by addressing underlying nervous-system dysregulation; they do not replace prescribed treatment.

Yes. Auditory entrainment synchronizes brainwave activity with specific target frequencies, supporting deeper access to meditative states. Vibrational experience complements breathwork and mindfulness — multi-sensory rather than purely cognitive. Research indicates sound-supported meditation produces measurable benefits including enhanced relaxation, improved emotional processing, and sustained stress reduction compared to silence alone.

High-risk pregnancies require specialized protocols developed in close collaboration with your medical team. Sound can support nervous-system regulation and reduce stress impact on maternal physiology, but every adjustment — instrument distance, decibel level, posture, session length — is calibrated to your specific clinical context. We require written medical clearance before any high-risk-pregnancy booking.

Soul Art pricing in Dubai: Private sound bath from AED 850 (60 min), Couples AED 1,450 (75 min), At-Home AED 1,750 (90 min, incl. travel), Corporate from AED 4,500 (60 min, up to 10 people). Multi-session packages bring the per-session cost down 10-15%. Compared to other premium Dubai providers, we sit in the upper mid-tier — meaningfully above boutique studios, comparable to Anantara The Palm spa pricing, below Bulgari Spa.
What is the difference between a sound bath, a gong bath, and singing bowl therapy?
A sound bath is the umbrella term — any session where you receive sound from multiple instruments. Singing bowl therapy refers specifically to sessions built around crystal or Tibetan bowls (precise, brainwave-targeted). A gong bath is a sound bath where the symphonic gong is the primary instrument (deepest body resonance, more recommended for experienced clients). All three use the same physiological mechanism — only the instrument selection and depth differ.
Which session should I book first?
For most first-time clients, the 60-minute Private Sound Bath is the right starting point. It uses the full multi-instrument set, gives you a baseline for how your body responds to sound, and is gentle enough that no prior experience is required. After one session you will know whether to go deeper (90-minute, gong bath) or in a specific direction (sleep, anxiety, etc.).
How often should I do sound healing?
For maintenance: once or twice a month is enough for most people. For active recovery from chronic stress, burnout or sleep dysregulation: weekly for 4-6 weeks, then taper. For acute work (e.g. preparing for a major life event): we sometimes do two sessions in a single week. Your nervous system tells us when more is needed — and when less is.
What should I wear to a session?
Loose, comfortable, breathable clothing. Layers are smart — body temperature drops as the parasympathetic system activates. Remove watches and metallic jewellery before the session. Socks if your feet run cold. We provide blankets, eye covers and bolsters.
Is sound healing safe for kids?
Generally yes for children aged 6 and above, with adapted protocols (lower volume, shorter duration). For younger children we work only with the parent present and on direct request. We do not work with children with diagnosed seizure disorders without prior medical consultation.
Can I drive home after a session?
After a 60-minute private session most clients can drive comfortably. After a 90-minute or gong-only session we recommend waiting 20-30 minutes in the integration space before driving. The state is similar to the drowsiness after a deep nap. For at-home sessions, this is irrelevant — you are already home.
I am skeptical. Does sound healing actually do anything measurable?
Yes — and the skepticism is the right starting point. Peer-reviewed research documents measurable effects on brainwave activity (EEG-confirmed Alpha and Theta increases), cortisol reduction (saliva-tested), and heart rate variability (HRV monitor-confirmed). We do not promise enlightenment. We promise a parasympathetic shift you can feel within minutes and a measurable physiology change you can verify with your own HRV ring or watch.

Meditation works through the practitioner's effort. Sound healing works through external acoustic stimulus that the brain entrains to passively. The end-state physiology — parasympathetic activation, brainwave shift to Alpha/Theta — is similar. Sound healing is more accessible for people who struggle with meditation discipline, more effective for clients in active anxiety states, and complementary (not competitive) for established meditators.
I am an executive in DIFC / Business Bay. Is there a session for me?
Yes. We see Dubai executives weekly. The most common pattern: a 90-minute private session every other Sunday or Monday morning to set the nervous-system baseline for the week. Many also add a Corporate Sound Bath for their team once a quarter. The Reset 3-Pack (AED 2,295, 90 days validity) is the most-booked package by this group.
Can you do a sound bath for my company?
Yes. Corporate Sound Baths are delivered on-site at your office, retreat venue, or our partner spaces. Pricing is AED 4,500 (60 min) or AED 6,000 (90 min) for groups up to 10. Above 10 people: AED 200 (60 min) or AED 250 (90 min) per additional person. We bring all instruments, mats, blankets, eye covers and a portable diffused-light setup.
Do you offer sessions in German or Arabic?
Yes. Larissa speaks German natively and works in English by default; Arabic-speaking clients can request session conduct in Arabic for the intake conversation, and the sound work itself is non-verbal. All written materials, FAQs, and the website are available in EN, DE and AR.
What is the cancellation policy?
30% deposit at booking for Private and Couples sessions, 50% for Corporate and At-Home. Free cancellation more than 48 hours before your session. 24-48 hours: 50% charge. Less than 24 hours or no-show: 100% charge. Reschedule is free up to 24 hours before. Corporate bookings: 72 hours for full refund.
Which Dubai areas do you serve for at-home sessions?
Travel within Palm Jumeirah, Emirates Hills, Downtown, Dubai Marina, Business Bay, DIFC, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and Al Barsha is included in the AED 1,750 fee. Beyond these zones (Mirdif, Arabian Ranches, JVC, Sustainable City and outward): a small distance surcharge applies.
