Sound Healing During Pregnancy — Soul Art Dubai sound healing protocol

Sound Healing During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is exactly when the nervous system most needs the parasympathetic shift sound healing produces — and exactly when the protocol must be most carefully adapted. The Soul Art prenatal protocol is built around three rules: safe decibel levels, no direct abdominal contact, and full coordination with your obstetrician for high-risk pregnancies.

What pregnancy does to the nervous system

Hormonal shifts (rising progesterone, fluctuating cortisol), sleep disruption, body anxiety, and — in many Dubai professionals — the difficulty of slowing down a typically high-velocity life. The mother's nervous system is also the baby's acoustic environment for nine months. A more parasympathetic mother is, biologically, a calmer womb.

The adapted protocol

Decibel levels capped well below 85 dB throughout. No bowls placed on or near the abdomen. Side-lying position option for second and third trimester. Crystal singing bowls only — no gong, no large Tibetan bowls in close proximity. Session length 60 minutes (not 90) to avoid prolonged supine time. Optional shorter 45-minute format for the third trimester.

Important boundaries

For low-risk pregnancies, sound healing is generally safe and supportive. For high-risk pregnancies (multiple gestation, placenta complications, gestational hypertension, history of preterm labor), we require written clearance from your obstetrician before booking. We will not proceed without it. For all pregnancies, we recommend not booking sessions in the first 12 weeks unless your physician explicitly approves.

Can I do sound healing in the first trimester?

We recommend waiting until the second trimester unless your physician explicitly approves a session in the first 12 weeks. The first trimester is the most sensitive window and we err on the side of conservative caution.
